The P80 Ra is a non-flowing pasty product specifically developed for Roughness Measurement.
Its initial consistency makes it a good fit for hard-to-reach surfaces like vertical or overhanging areas.
It creates semi-rigid replicas with a hardness of 80 Shore A, which do not deform during demolding. Replicas made from P80 Ra cannot withstand any extraction constraint (0%).
The P80 Ra is specifically developed for roughness control. It precisely replicates surface roughness, allowing measurement directly from the impression using a roughness tester or optical inspection device.
This plastiform is ideal for roughness control and provides accurate Ra values. If you need to determine Rt or Rz, it’s better to use a non-contact measuring device.
It can also be used to create partial impressions on simple external shapes. The impression is highly accurate but should not be subjected to extraction stress.
We do not recommend cutting P80 Ra impressions with the Double Blade Cutter because of their rigidity.

The usage of the P80 Ra is recommended for:
- Indirect Roughness Controls: Replicas made of this product can be measured using a Roughness tester or optical roughness measuring devices.
- Dimensional Control: As a pasty product, the P80 Ra can also be used for regular dimensional controls and is measurable with contact devices.
When applying P80 Ra, create a thick impression with a flat outer surface. This will facilitate roughness measurements.
As with dimensional inspection, degrease the area to be inspected using the DN1 before applying the product to ensure optimal results.
