Fill’In
Fill’In
Fill’In are small metal spiral rods designed to help Plastiform fluid products enter very small spaces. They enable capturing the finest details of a part or surface to be inspected.
When performing inspections in very confined spaces, the limited space might prevent the product from filling all available areas. Using Fill’In, you can introduce a very thin metal spiral rod that allows air to escape, enabling your product to occupy the entire space.
Fill’In accessories are used manually and do not require special devices, but they do require a certain level of dexterity.
Each Fill’In has a length of 25mm, making them suitable for taking impressions of small or very small parts.
Please note, this accessory is suitable for fluid or even pasty products but does not work with malleable products as their initial consistency is too hard for the fill’in to go through.
These products are situational accessories. Please refer to a Plastiform expert for guidance specific to your application.
They are sold individually in boxes of four.
To use fill’ins, first poor the product you are using in the part you need to inspect. Once done, put the application gun aside and get the fill’in you need.
Fill’ins are sold in boxes of four in which each spiral has its own diameter. Pick the one you need then:
- Press the fill’in into the product using slow, circular movements.
- Once at the bottom, move up and down to expel the air outwards.
- Pull the fill in out from the center of the impression before the product harden too much.
Please remember that using a Fill’In will never substitute for proper degreasing of the surface. Your part must be cleaned before any Plastiform application.
