F85 XL
The F85 XL is the only rigid product in the XL range, designed to create impressions that require measurement through contact measuring devices.
It is a very fluid plastiform that becomes rigid after polymerization, meaning it cannot be distorted. To reach its final hardness, it is recommended to let it polymerize for at least 85 minutes before extracting the impression.
The F85 XL is used for dimensional inspection. It hardens to 85 Shore A, allowing it to be measured with contact devices. However, since it is rigid, it cannot be extracted if there is any removal constraint in the part.
Thanks to its extended polymerization time, the F85 XL allows you to create large volume impressions for various applications. Its fluid nature before polymerization ensures it can easily fill intricate into the surface details.
This XL product is compatible with and used in a variety of industrial applications, from automotive to aerospace, and also includes applications in beauty brands and in the medical industry.
As it is too rigid, it can’t be used with the Double Blade Cutter.

We recommend using the F85 XL for dimensional control of simple internal forms as it can’t handle any removal constraint. It offers a good solution when you need to control a total reproduction of your part with contact measurements.
When using this product in bottles or cans, you must manually combine both components in a 1:1 ratio. Adhere strictly to the guidelines in the user instructions and Technical Sheet available on this page.
Manual mixing demands careful attention to the quantities blended and the product’s working time, as when it is exceed, you will no longer be able to pour the product.
We suggest pouring the F85 XL gradually, allowing it to avoid air bubbles. These instructions are also applicable to all other XL products in the Plastiform range.
The impression is semi-rigid and can be controlled with an optical machine or a contact measuring machine. Suitable devices include profile projectors, microscopes, optical measuring systems, calipers, and three-dimensional measuring machines.
